From Ituzaingó to Iguazú Falls, With a stop in the central mountains of Misiones with a different kind of rainforest in Salto Encantado Park. After this stop a second day to Iguazú, including a visit to the Hummingbird Garden and a third day with a Iguazú Falls full day.

ITINERARY

ITUZAINGO - SALTO ENCANTADO

We begin to travel by road from Corrientes Province to the following Province: Misiones, changing from the flat and open environments to the hills covered by Rainforest.

The first stop, leaving the flat wetlands, will be a stop in the first hills where grasslands are surrounded by rainforests and still new environments will provide us new species, such as Toco Toucan, White-eared Puffbird, Pearly-breasted Cuckoo, Fork-tailed Woodnymph or White-bellied Seedeater. Will visit the base of the hills in Salto Encantado Park

SALTO ENCANTADO - IGUAZU

Early in the morning we’ll birding in Salto Encantado around the lodge, and later we’ll depart to Puerto Iguazú (the town), birding on the road. (200km), with time enough to visit the Hummingbirds Garden in the afternoon, where is possible to find an amazing number of hummingbird species plus tanagers and others.

IGUAZU Full day

Full day at Iguazú National Park: Within the park on the Iguazú River, the renowned

Iguazú Falls encompasses many separate cascades, including the iconic Garganta.

del Diablo (“Evil’s Throat”). The surrounding park features diverse wildlife, including mammals, plus trails and viewing platforms.

We will walk along the Macuco trail and the upper and lower boardwalks, looking.

for Green-billed Toucan, Surucua Trogon, Reddish-bellied Parakeet, Red-rumped Cacique, or Red-Ruffed Fruitcrow, amon several rainforest’s tyrants, furnarids and antbirds. The forest also hosts a wide diversity of mammals, such as the Coati, the Red Brocket-deer, and the Brown Capuchin Monkey.

In the afternoon, after visiting the falls, we will go to the airport around 6:00 p.m. to take the flights, where the trip will end (this night is not included). Also, those who need it can be taken to hotels in Puerto Iguazú. For those who wish to stay in the same hotel it will also be possible (see prices below)
