Bolivia is one of the most unusual countries in South America, although one of the least visited by birders due to the remoteness of some birding sites. But with a good itinerary and proper ground logistics, it is easy to enjoy birding and admire the spectacular landscapes of this amazing and untamed country. On this 6-day itinerary, you may be able to record a list of around 200+ species, including most of the national and regional endemics expected for this tour.

On the other hand, more than 50 species of parrots and parabas highlight Bolivia among the best destinations for psittacines, with emblematic species such as the Blue-throated Macaw and Red-fronted Macaw, both endemic to Bolivia. Other fascinating species, many of them unmistakable and very striking, include toucans and rheas, endangered monteritas, the Titicaca Flightless Grebe, the Bolivian Blackbird, the Bolivian Slaty-Antshrike, the Bolivian Earthcreeper, the Unicolored Thrush, the Red-legged Seriema, the tiny Black-hooded Sunbeam and the Giant… Giant Hummingbird! to name a few.
