Regular Talks
Regular talks will last a maximum of 20 minutes, plus a maximum of 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Applications for talks in English, Portuguese, and Spanish are accepted. Regular talks will take place during the first 3 days of the Fair, and we estimate that there will be 10 to 15 slots available.
The Committee will evaluate applications based on the originality and innovation of the topic to be presented. The nationality of the applicants will also be considered, with equal representation among countries. The talks that are considered to contribute most to the interest of the South American birdwatching community will be selected.
We recommend optimizing the use of time to present all elements of the talk equally. In addition, we suggest using audiovisual material with English subtitles when the talk is in Spanish or Portuguese, or in one of these languages when the talk is in English.
To evaluate the relevance of the talks for the XV South American Bird Fair, it will be necessary to send a summary to our email address info@birdfair.net. The subject line of the email should indicate “Talk Application.”
